The flag is from GMB as usual, and I have again included the elite company for a bit of variety:
I'm not quite sure what I did with the camera settings on this one as they came out looking a bit shinier than they are in reality, having had a couple of coats of Testors Dullcote (which seems to be in short supply here in Australia at the moment). I always seem to magically find a new setting on my phone camera each time I use it, just to keep things interesting:
I have the last exam for the semester coming up this Friday before a four or five week break so I am hoping I'll be able to step up my output, for the next month at least.
Excellent looking dragoons! Stepping up production? You are already going at a very good rate! Law degree exams?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan. I had hoped to have two dozen regiments completed by the end of June, but will fall about ten short. Property law this week. To be honest I'm getting too old for exams, but I only have two more after this semester and there is a bit about it that is making me feel eighteen again.
DeleteGod luck on the exams. You are 4 ahead of me on cav units this year, it's all relative. They look good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pancerni, on both counts. I really wanted to have the cavalry done and dusted in the first half of this year as I have a couple of other projects I'm keen to get stuck into, but don't want to put these down yet otherwise it could be another couple of years before I pick them again.
DeleteAnother great looking unit Lawrence - the red facings look great with the dragoons green coats. My sixty GNW Swedish cav have just arrived today, so stand by for a few weeks of posting about progress through them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith. Those Swedes didn't take too long to arrive, so perhaps postage is getting back to normal now the UK is emerging from lockdown.
DeleteYou churn 'em out so quickly and they look d@mned fine! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Cheers James. A few units had been backed up due to my flag issue which derailed things, but I'm back on track now.
DeleteCrackin work Lawrence! Good luck with the last exam.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray, on both counts. I should be free and painting again by about lunchtime tomorrow.
DeleteVery handsome regiment, and love the bearskins!
ReplyDeleteIt's Dragoon Week on the Blogosphere!
Thanks Peter, it certainly does seem like dragoon week. There have even been some without horses, and very nice they are too!
DeleteRealised I hadn’t followed but I am here now …nice looking unit 👍
ReplyDeleteCheers Matt, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your recent Operation Sealion game AAR. Definitely something I would like to do with my gaming group.
DeleteGorgeous looking dragoons! Lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Cheers Iain. They look a bit shinier in the pictures than they do to the eye, but I think that's because I mucked up my camera settings.
DeleteGreat work mate! Do I hear the music of a larger parade?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about doing that, once I have finished all the French cavalry. I prepared the last two units over the weekend and they are ready to join the queue, so I'm hoping I'll have the whole lot finished by the end of August.
